These emulsions leave the skin soft and non-greasy feel. MONTANOV™ 202 is unique by the evanescent and light feel that it gives to creams. The emulsions obtained spread easily with fast penetration. They leave the skin soft, but not oily or shiny, with a matte finish effect. These specific sensory characteristics, coupled with a hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic profile, means that MONTANOV™ 202 is perfectly suited to the needs of certain types of skin

Due to its intrinsic properties, MONTANOV™ 202 is the emulsifier of choice for these products:

• emulsion for oily skin,
•  light body emulsion
• cream for sensitive skin
•  hydrating cream
• foundation
• sun or after-sun milk
• emulsion lipstick
• mascara
• specific products (depilatory, permanent, dyes. etc.).
  

Montanov 202 Processing Guidelines: 30 oz Cream Batch Sample

• Montanov 202 should be included in the oil phase and heated to 185F/80C.
• Heat water phase separately to 185F/80C.
• When both phases are at 185F/80C, add water phase to oil phase.
• Begin mixing with HIGH SHEAR mixer (homogenizer or stick blender)  at 4000 rpm for 4 minutes until emulsion forms.
• After 4 minutes, stop homogenizing and stir gently at about 200 rpm ( paddle/propeller mixer).
• DO NOT place in cold water bath to cool emulsion down rapidly as is usually suggested with other type of emulsifier. When emulsion has cooled down to 50C, you can place in water bath
• Stir until cool
• At 50C you may add your preservative and later your essential oil

 

Recommended Usage: 1% - 5%

Recommended pH range: 5.5-7.0
